Psychological Evaluations, Therapy, and Group Psychoeducational Programs

Understanding fees and insurance coverage is an important part of deciding which services are the right fit. This page provides clear information about rates and payment options for psychological evaluations, therapy services, and group psychoeducation courses offered by me – a licensed psychologist.

Services are available for children, adolescents and adults in Tennessee, with secure telehealth options available where appropriate.

Overview of Services & Fees

I offer several distinct types of services, each with different structures and fee considerations:

• Psychological Evaluations (primary service)

• Individual Therapy

• Group Psychoeducation Courses and Programs

Because these services differ in scope, time, and purpose, fees and insurance coverage vary by service type.

Psychological Evaluation Fees

Comprehensive Diagnostic Assessments

Psychological evaluations are in-depth, multi-method assessments designed to clarify diagnoses, understand complex presentations, and guide next steps.

Evaluation fees typically reflect:

• Clinical interviews and history review

• Administration and scoring of standardized assessment measures

• Diagnostic interpretation and differential diagnosis

• A comprehensive written report with recommendations

Common evaluation types include:

• ADHD psychological evaluations

• Autism spectrum disorder evaluations (older adolescents & adults only)

• Psychoeducational evaluations for learning disabilities

• Psychological evaluations for anxiety, depression, trauma, or mood concerns

Because evaluations are individualized, specific fees are discussed prior to scheduling so you know what to expect.

For the months of January and February 2026 I am offering a limited number of psychological evaluations at a reduced early-year access rate of $699.00; the usual rate is $1,325.00.  Learning disability evaluations start at $699.00.  All fees are self-pay.

Therapy Fees

Individual Therapy Services

Therapy services focus on ongoing support, skill development, and emotional processing rather than diagnostic clarification.

Therapy fees are typically:

• Charged per session

• Based on session length and service type

Therapy may be appropriate for individuals seeking support related to anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, identity exploration, or adjustment concerns.  Therapy services are $150.00 per session and are self-pay. (Note:  I am not offering therapy services at the current time.)

Group Psychoeducation Course Fees

Structured Online Educational Programs

Group psychoeducational courses are educational, skills-based programs designed to help participants better understand specific topics (e.g., neurodiversity, executive functioning, self-care, or coping strategies).

Important things to know:

• Courses are self-pay

• Fees are set per course or program

• Course fees are outlined clearly prior to enrollment

These programs are not therapy.  The cost of my latest online course, “Unmasked:  Living Authentically as an Autistic Adult,” is $697.00.

Insurance Coverage & Billing

While I no longer accept insurance I can provide you with a special receipt (i.e., “superbill”) to submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement of services.

Out-of-Pocket (Self-Pay) Options

Some clients choose self-pay due to:

• High deductibles

• Limited coverage for testing or evaluations

• Preference for flexibility or privacy

Self-pay options are available for psychological evaluations, therapy, and psychoeducational courses. Fees and payment expectations are discussed in advance.

Payment Policy

Payment is due in full at the time of service (or prior to the start of a group psychoeducation course).
