Important Service Update
At this time, I am not accepting new therapy clients.
My clinical work is currently focused on:
Psychological evaluations (primary service)
An online group psychoeducation course for autistic adults
This page is maintained to provide clarity about the nature of therapy services and to support individuals who may be exploring whether therapy or a psychological evaluation is the best next step.
What Is Therapy?
Therapy is an ongoing process that helps adults:
Understand emotional and behavioral patterns
Develop healthier coping strategies
Improve emotional regulation
Navigate stress, identity questions, or life transitions
Unlike psychological evaluations, which focus on assessment and diagnostic clarification, therapy focuses on treatment, reflection, and growth over time.
Concerns Commonly Addressed in Therapy
When offered, adult therapy services may address concerns such as:
Anxiety and chronic worry
Depression or low mood
Stress and burnout
Trauma-related concerns
Identity exploration
Emotional regulation difficulties
Relationship or interpersonal challenges
Therapy is individualized and shaped by the client’s goals and values.
Is Therapy the Right Fit for You?
Therapy may be a good fit if:
You are seeking ongoing emotional support
You want space to explore thoughts, feelings, and patterns
You are interested in skill development and insight over time
Therapy may not be the best fit if:
You are primarily seeking diagnostic clarification
You need formal documentation or assessment
You are looking for a one-time service rather than ongoing sessions
In these cases, a psychological evaluation may be a more appropriate starting point.
Therapy for Adults Only
Therapy services, when available, are provided exclusively to adults. I do not offer therapy services for children or adolescents.
Telehealth Therapy in Tennessee
When therapy services are offered, sessions are conducted in person or via secure telehealth for Tennessee residents and folks nationwide in most states and follow the same ethical and professional standards as in-person services.
Why Therapy Is Not Currently Available
Limiting services allows for depth, quality, and ethical practice. At this time, my work is intentionally focused on:
Providing comprehensive psychological evaluations
Developing and delivering a structured group psychoeducation course for autistic adults
This focus ensures that each service offered receives the time, attention, and rigor it requires.
